Dedication To Community & Corporate Responsibilty
ePace is committed to helping organizations in addressing the global challenges of education, poverty alleviation, and disaster relief. Since 2008, we kickstarted a series of social initiatives in the communities we operate in.
We hope that by leveraging our company’s strengths, team members, and resources, we will raise awareness of the importance of corporate philanthropy, and encourage others to participate in and contribute to the area of social responsibility. We have a long way to go, and if you are an NGO that would like to build a partnership with ePace, please contact us for more information.
Save The Child Foundation
ePace has been supporting Save the Child Foundation since 2007 and we are extremely proud of the work they do. Below are notes about Save the Child Foundation’s mission, vision, and philosophy from their website. Vision
“A world in which all children with needs either related to poverty or medical conditions will be protected and nurtured holistically in an eco-friendly environment”.
Mission
“To create an environment of hope and respect for the children with special needs and assist each child in reaching their maximum potential through holistic interventions . We, a group of individuals who believe that it is our social responsibility to advocate child rights achieve this mission by empowering the local organizations, mainly in India, that cater to the needs of special needs children. We also strengthen our mission by inspiring others to join us in the movement of the welfare of every child with disabling challenges.”
Philosophy
At Save the Child Foundation, we believe that we are socially responsible in bringing a change in the lives of the underprivileged and special needs children. This change is possible when individuals like you and me, join hands and work towards the protection and betterment of every child with special need.
Save the Child Foundation supports organizations that mainly work in the villages of India and strive for the welfare of special needs children. Save the Child Foundation’s strength is in its volunteers, donors, event sponsors, facebook fans and partners. By joining hands together, we can help make a difference in rehabilitating families and communities by helping one special needs child at a time.
Finally, Save the Child Foundation maintains complete transparency and accountability of every dollar that is received and disbursed through our Grant program(s).
Pratham USA
Pratham USA is working in collaboration with governments, communities, parents, teachers and volunteers to focus on innovative interventions to address gaps in the education system. The clarity of their mission is —“every child in school and learning well”—drives their focus to make an impact on the lives of India’s children and extends from our leadership to our volunteers in the field. Below is some information on how Pratham USA inspires action in the community, and you can learn more by visiting http://prathamusa.org
Develop Innovative Programs
Pratham uses outcome-driven programs that reconfigure teaching methodologies and challenge ineffective learning mechanisms. Our strategies focus on results, accountability and continuous learning and improvement.
Build Scalable Models
Pratham’s low-cost learning models are rigorously tested and evaluated so they can be easily replicated on a larger scale to provide quality education to every child.
Advocate Change
Pratham’s willingness to take risks, adapt to changing circumstances and look beyond our own programs gives us the leverage to create broader change. We amplify our impact by freely sharing information with other nonprofits and using our findings to advocate for large-scale policy changes.
Inspire Action
We engage parents, teachers and government to make learning a community effort. Local volunteers are vetted, trained and monitored to help implement learning interventions at the grassroots level using Pratham’s high-quality teaching materials.
The Water Project
ePace has been supporting The Water Project in their mission to provide access to clean, safe and reliable water across sub-Saharan Africa. They help bring clean water through new wells, rehabbed wells, sand dams, rainwater catchment systems and/or spring protections to schools, medical clinics and villages. Below is some information on how they work, and you can visit https://thewaterproject.org to learn more.
Training
We come alongside every partner and help them develop programs that meet the needs of their neighbors. We listen first, and offer what we know with humility.
Equipping
Tools and technology allow our small teams to do far more then they could otherwise. But, these tools never get in the way of relationship and respect.
Connecting
With partners and teams around the world, we’re able to spread learning and best practices quickly. All of us can then work together toward lasting solutions.
DKMS – Delete Blood Cancer
ePace supports DKMS in their mission to delete blood cancer by finding patients with matching donors. Founded 25 years ago in Germany by Dr. Peter Harf when he lost his wife Mechtild to leukemia. Peter promised her that he would help every blood cancer patient find a matching donor.
At that time, there were only 3,000 potential stem cell donors available to provide a transplant in Germany and within one year of founding DKMS, the number of stem cell donors increased to 68,000. Below is some more information about DKMS and their mission, and you can learn more by visiting https://www.dkms.org.
